Adobe Substance 3D Connector Is Now Open-Source
Adobe has finally released Substance 3D Connector, a new addition to the Substance 3D ecosystem aimed at making it easier to connect different 3D software to share data.
This application’s goal is to establish a connection and transfer assets like 3D geometry and materials between Substance 3D tools and other popular 3D software such as Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, and game engines. Essentially, it allows for easy discovery of what applications are available to receive messages from the primary one and for selective data exchange, giving creators control over how their tools interact.
Useful in a large number of industries, including game development, film production, architectural visualization, motion and product design, 3D Connector will streamline the workflows and make the iterations faster.
