Ancient Greece’s Pantheon of Gods Leap into Fortnite’s Latest Season on PS5, PS4

The latest season of Fortnite content is upon us, and this time Epic Games has opened Pandora’s Box and introduced a bunch of mythological skins. You’ll be able to unlock the entire pantheon of Greek Gods, including – but not limited to – Zeus, Hades, Aphrodite, and Cerberus. In addition, new locations inspired by Ancient Greece will be added to the island, like Mount Olympus and the Underworld.

If that’s not enough, various weapons and abilities inspired by the deities themselves will be available, like the ability to hurl lightning bolts like the God of Thunder, as well as utilise the Wings of Icarus which let you soar into the skies before divebombing on your foes. Various other weapons will be available as well, like a triple-shot shotgun and an assault rifle forged by Ares himself.

Midway through the season, Korra from the Avatar series will be unlocked, and you’ll be able to grab her by completing various quests. Remember, you’ll be able to level up the Battle Pass across a variety of modes, including Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival. And as always, it’ll cost 950 V-Bucks (~£6.99/$8.99) to participate, but you’ll be able to earn up to 1,500 V-Bucks back through gameplay.

It’s a shame we didn’t get Aang (the main character from Avatar).

Seems like a bit of a downgrade from getting Geralt of Rivia in the Battle Pass not so long ago.

I rather they’d add decent weapons instead of gimmicks. Nothing more annoying than doing well all game and you get killed by someone in a bush because they they slam you into the storm (happened a lot with the DBZ update). They also need to fix the level gain, play a few rounds of BR and level up 3 or 4 times, or, join a custom game with mates and gain almost 10 levels. Seems a bit odd since you’d think they encourage people to play BR more.

@AFCC It just feels like a waste of a place in the lineup to use something so niche and off-theme. I never see anyone wearing these Anime skins in any of the BR lobbies I play.

For me, there is no secret skin this season because I’ll never use it. But it’s nice for the five people who will, I guess.

I think about 90% of gamers would believe you if you told them that pic of the statue on top is from Immortals Fenyx Rising. 😂

I’m looking forward to this, but mostly b/c the last season went on a few weeks too long.

I’ve been trying for like an hour, couldn’t sleep, and twitter seems to think it’s still offline as well. 🤷🏻‍♂️ (course it will probably be up by the time you read this but it wasn’t when you posted it 😁)

Not everyone likes anime obviously, some people like Vanderpump Rules, but as much as we make fun of people who like that brain dead moronic reality tv trash we at least acknowledge they exist. I mean even Sammy famously hates anime and he runs this site.😂

Korra is a weird choice though, gotta admit. Unless Aang, Zuko and her brother are coming later. Maybe they could do an entire Avatar sub season like they did with TMNT, I’d be down for that. Otherwise I’d rather have Icarus from the Kid Icarus games, and I’m a big Airbender fan.

@darkswabber that is true! But in this case you know that he’s referring specifically to animation from Japan when he says “who even like anime”. Still, it makes me chuckle when I realise that in Japan, they would refer to something like Shrek, as anime 😂

@rjejr I guess they’re riding off the relevance of the Netflix series right now to bring Avatar in. I agree that it doesn’t really fit the vibe of the season. And you KNOW that the other characters will just appear in the store at their usual ridiculous prices. Not many people would pay for Korra, but for Aang and Zuko? That’s a different story 💰

@Lami I figured it was show related, I was actually going to ask if her appearance was based on the cartoon or live but decided I didn’t care. Including her in the season pass but charging for the others makes business sense as you said, just hadn’t seen the others mentioned yet. I hope they make tea as an optional health item, big fan of uncle Iroh. ☕

Now I think it’s time to go check if the servers are up yet. And ot figure out once again how to add the creator code before I purchase the season pass, my brain can’t remember a thing I only do once every 3 months.😂

@bindiana Yeah man I just came here to post it. I’m blaming @get2sammyb seems like it’s his fault. 😂 Oh well, at least they told us, and I needed to go food shopping anyway. Probably means I won’t play until Monday now though, kids will be home from school in exactly 8 hours, servers will probably be swamped, and I’m not very good. 😜
