CSGO Player Wipes Entire Enemy Team With A Single Sniper Shot

For those who play Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), you’ll likely be intimiately familiar with the AWP. For those who aren’t, it’s a very powerful bolt-action sniper rifle that is one of the more popular weapons used in the game, although it’s slightly held back by a slow reload speed and fire rate. You don’t need to look very hard to find a trickshot compilation on YouTube, as it’s a weapon many like to use to show off their sniping prowess. However, you’re unlikely to find a shot as impressive as what u/njhypeisdad has managed to pull off.

First shared to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive subreddit, u/njhypeisdad has shared a clip of their extremely impressive feat which shows them wiping out an entire team of five players with a single shot from an AWP. Taking place on the map Inferno, the player in question quickly rushes into the fight once the game starts. They then throw a grenade over a wall in the general direction of the enemy before hiding behind a wall. Poking their head out, they fire off a hopeful round, only to take down all five members of the enemy team who were unknowingly standing in a perfect line.

The team chat then understandably explodes in amazement, having just witnessed something that has apparently only happened once before in CSGO’s entire 11 year history. The replies in the clip’s Reddit thread shares similar amazement, making fun of the original poster for asking if it was a rare accomplishment. There are also some suggesting that the grenade that u/njhypeisdad threw before making the shot also played a part, making it an even more impressive feat.

According to a few people, the AWP isn’t actually capable of travelling through five bodies without a bit of help, which means the prior grenade throw must have softened up a couple of players before the shot happened. It’s also claimed that the enemy player last in line probably wouldn’t have died if it wasn’t a headshot as well, which really drives home how many circumstances have to come together for someone to pull off a shot like this. It’s incredibly lucky, and u/njhypeisdad should probably stop whatever they’re doing right now and go buy a lottery ticket.

In other Counter-Strike news, it looks like the upcoming release of the highly anticipated CS2 won’t have ragdoll physics. That’s because one mischievious player managed to create corpse mountains with the feature during the game’s closed network test last month. To stop this from happening in real games, the feature has now been disabled, but it’s nice to imagine what could have been should ragdoll physcis have made it into CS2’s final release this summer.
