This guide will walk players through the best teachable and non-teachable perks to run on The Onryo in Dead By Daylight as of 2022.
Manifesting from film to videogame, Dead By Daylight‘s Onryo is Behaviors’ take on the haunting young well-dweller from 1998’s Ringu. Players looking to take on The Onryō in Dead By Daylight may have a difficult time coming to terms with her television-dependent powers and manifestation abilities, but having the right set of perks can help drastically.
This guide will walk players through the best perks to use on The Onryo to make the most of her supernatural powers, including the best builds for players with both teachable and non-teachable perks.
The Onryo: Best Non-Teachable Build (2022)
While The Onryo has some impressive base-kit abilities, many players who are entering the Entity’s trails for the first time may struggle with obtaining all the perks available to other Killers. This build is aimed at those newer players, showcasing the best build for The Onryo without using other Killers’ teachable perks.
- Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage (The Onryo) – Upon hooking a Survivor on a white Scourge Hook, the auras of all other Survivors are revealed for 7 seconds.
- Hex: No One Escapes Death (General Perk) – After the final generator is completed, all Survivors suffer from the Exposed status ailment, and users gain a 4% Haste effect until the Hex Totem is cleansed.
- Jolt (General Perk) – Downing a Survivor causes all generators within a 32-meter radius to lose 8% progress.
- Sloppy Butcher (General Perk) – Basic attacks inflict the Mangled and Hemorrhage status ailments, slowing down healing by 25% and regressing healing progress when left unfinished.
The Onryo: Best Build (2022)
Like The Trapper, The Onryo is one of the weaker Killers in Dead By Daylight due to her limited teleportation and chase capabilities. As such, sometimes the best build for a Killer is one that buys time until the Endgame Collapse begins. This build is focused around slowing generator progress and creating a difficult endgame scenario that Survivors will struggle to escape from using perks from The Trickster, The Cenobite, and The Plague.
- Deadlock (The Cenobite) – After a generator is repaired, the generator with the most progress is blocked for 30 seconds.
- Hex: No One Escapes Death (General Perk) – After the final generator is completed, all Survivors suffer from the Exposed status ailment and users gain a 4% Haste effect until the Hex Totem is cleansed. No Way Out (The Trickster) – At the end of the trial when a Survivor interacts with an exit gate users will receive a noise notification, and the exit gates will be blocked for 12 seconds, plus another 12 seconds for each Survivor hooked.
- Corrupt Intervention (The Plague) – At the start of the trial, the 3 generators furthest from the killer’s starting location are blocked for 120 seconds or until the first Survivor is downed.
Dead By Daylight is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
