Destiny 2: Best In Class Quest Guide

Every Season of Destiny 2, there is a special holiday event at some point either halfway through the Season or in the last month. Season of the Deep is just around the corner, but before that Guardian Games has returned for the fourth time. While all three classes have one so far, only time will tell who wins this year.

Before Destiny 2 players can join in on the festivities, they must complete an introduction quest that teaches them the basics of what they will be doing when they participate in Guardian Games. This quest is called ‘Best in Class’, and here is how to complete it.

Talk to Eva Levante

Before doing anything else, players should go right to the Tower and speak with Eva Levante. She stands right next to the massive podium in the middle of the Courtyard, so she isn’t hard to spot. When picking up this quest from Eva, players will get a class item from her.

Equip the Class Item

While this isn’t a step in the quest itself, it is absolutely essential that players equip the class item right away once they get it. The reason for this is that without having it equipped, players cannot earn any Medallions when they complete activities throughout the game. The class item does not have to be Masterworked, and players can change the appearance if they wish to do so.

Complete Any Activity

For the next step of this quest, players must complete an activity in one of the Guardian Games playlists. It doesn’t matter if it is Supremacy or one of the Strike playlists. The next step of this quest is to earn a Medallion. The Medallion doesn’t have to be earned from a Guardian Games playlist since they can be obtained from almost anywhere in the game when the class item is equipped, but since it is required for the quest anyway it is best to just pick one of the activities and complete it.

Return to Eva Levante

After the activity has been completed, players will get a Medallion provided they have the class item equipped. At this point, return to the Tower and speak with Eva Levante. She gives players a Medallion Case, which is in the Quest log. The Medallion Case allows players to see how many Medallions they have obtained so far. Players can carry a maximum of five Bronze Medallions, five Silver Medallions, three Gold Medallions, and three Platinum Medallions.

Speak With Zavala and Shaxx

For the final steps of this quest, talk to Zavala and then Shaxx. They will give players two separate quests related to scoring in the Guardian Games playlists. After that, return to Eva Levante one last time. She will give players the Taraxippos Scout Rifle and the quest will end.
