Disney Offers a Behind-the-Scenes Look at Its 1940 Film, Fantasia
Over on LinkedIn, the team unveiled some exclusive pencil test footage of original animation drawings created for the segment, sourced directly from Disney’s Animation Research Library, the company’s vast collection of resources aimed at preserving the studio’s artistic heritage, usually accessible to only a select few.
As noted in Disney’s post, the sequence was set up by Les Clark, a renowned Animator and one of the studio’s first creators, known as Disney’s Nine Old Men, and Ugo D’Orsi, an Animator best known for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, while Actor and Visual Effects Artist Dan MacManus handled the animation of visual effects.
