Dragon’s Dogma 2: All Patch Notes

With the release of any major video game, players are sure to encounter bugs and things that need to be fixed. About a week after the launch of Dragon’s Dogma 2, the first patch rolled out to address some of the game’s issues, and the development team plans more patches and updates to address players’ concerns – especially concerns over the performance and systems of Dragon’s Dogma 2.

As more Dragon’s Dogma 2 patches continue to release in the months following its launch, this guide will be regularly updated to provide a single resource that lists all DD2 patch notes. Each section highlights a different Patch separated by date, and changes are separated by console. For example, the first Patch only applied to PlayStation and PC versions of the game. April 25, 2024 – Dragon’s Dogma 2 Patch Notes (All Systems)

• Pawn Behavior Adjustments
  • Dragonsplague changes
    • Frequency of Dragonsplague has been reduced
    • Signs that indicate a Pawn has been infected with Dragonsplague are now more obvious. Red Eyes, for example, are now much brighter and more noticable.
  • Other Pawn updates
    • High Five animation issues have been fixed
    • Issues with Pawn quest guide behavior fixed
    • Pawns are now less likely to fall off cliffs
    • Pawns now speak less frequently off-the-cuff
    • Pawn dialogue now suits the current situation more accurately
    • Fixed problems that caused Pawns to remain silent out of combat
    • Fixed an issue that caused hired Pawns dialogue to appear for Main Pawns
    • Pawns are now more likely to provide aid when requested and especially while being held
    • Random Pawn encounters happen less frequently when exploring
• Bug Fixes
  • Escort quest bug that caused quests to fail when entering Character Edit mode has been fixed
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Arisen to be sent to jail when fighting enemies inside a city
  • Some crashes, freezes, and other miscellaneous bug fixed applies
• Other Updates
  • Added an option to zoom in on faces of NPCs when talking to them, like vendors quest givers, Pawns, other Arisen, etc
  • Multiple minimap adjustments that fix issues, like treasure chests that have already been acquired appearing on the map

April 9, 2024 – Dragon’s Dogma 2 Patch Notes (All Systems)

• Fixed Terrain issues that could cause characters to get stick

  • Players can now start a New Game when existing save data exists
  • The number of Art of Metamorphosis items available at Pawn Guilds is increased to 99
  • Player housing is now offered earlier in the game than previous
  • Added Motion Blur on and off toggle in the Options menu
  • Added Ray Tracing on and off toggle in the Options menu (SERIES X ONLY)
  • Added an option to enable a 30 FPS cap in the Options menu
