Elden Ring Glitch Gives Morgott New Moves

When fighting against Morgott the Omen King, a couple of Elden Ring players encounter a strange glitch that seems to give him some new moves.
When fighting against Morgott, the Omen King, two Elden Ring players happened across a peculiar glitch that enabled Morgott to gain an extra move, albeit a strange one. While Elden Ring is a far more polished experience than recent games that have come out, it is still common for players to come across a bug or glitch in the world of the Lands Between. While most of the time it is something harmless, even humorous in some cases, it can also be a game-ruining experience, such as when an Elden Ring player got stuck in Malenia’s scarlet flower. While this isn’t quite as close to that, it’s still a strange bug.
Morgott, the Omen King is one of the bosses in Elden Ring that is required to be defeated in order to progress in the game, and he can be a challenge for players. Although with some similarities to the Margit fight, if the player is being greedy the Morgott fight can end in a heartbreaking failure. He hits hard, is much more chaotic than his last fight, and is difficult to stagger, which makes him a difficult boss to fight with a pure melee build.
However, even magic builds may have a little trouble fighting him with this glitch. Posting to r/Eldenring, user Roger_Cheeto uploaded a video of their fight with Morgott, the Omen King, along with another Elden Ring player. In the video, the glitch is already occurring, causing Morgott to quickly move back and forth while midway through the ground, moving so fast it’s hard to discern where he is able to attack or not, the user jokingly regarding it as “new moves.” Despite this, the other player does attack him, using magic spells to deal damage to the Omen King.

In the comments, many of the users made jokes at the Omen King’s expense, with some even saying he now has the Sandevistan seen in Cyberpunk Edgerunners, but only a few seem to say that it’s specifically a netcode problem. Thankfully, it does seem the players can inflict damage on him while he is in this state, so fortunately they can still win the fight, though they will have to be careful.
Elden Ring may be more put together than games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but there will always be issues that crop up. The Lands Between is a wide open world, so it’d be difficult to catch every little issue that occurs in it, even with a boss as important to fight as Morgott. Despite this, the glitch will at least make the fight a little more interesting for the players, regardless of whether they want it to be or not.
Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
