Fallout Shelter: How to Delete/Remove Rooms in Your Vault
The first step in rebuilding your vault is knowing how to destroy rooms in Fallout Shelter, and here is how you can do that.
Fallout Shelter lets you build and manage your very own underground vault. Pay attention because there is a lot more to do here than just stacking rooms on each floor. Once dwellers start knocking on your vault, you must expand to accommodate all of them. This continuous expansion is where most players tend to make mistakes. You may eventually want to move rooms in Fallout Shelter, which cannot be done without destroying them first.
If you have decided to start building your own vault after watching the first season of the live-action Fallout show, be ready to spend months on end working on it. The time-consuming gameplay is why you need to know beforehand how to delete and move rooms in Fallout Shelter. This saves you both time and Caps, and here is how it can be done.
Fallout Shelter: Best Pets (& Bonuses) to Keep
You can find several dogs, cats, and parrots in the Wasteland. Here are the ones you need to keep in Fallout Shelter for their legendary bonuses.
How to Delete/Remove Rooms in Fallout Shelter
Start by clicking/tapping the room you want to remove. This will open a small menu panel at the bottom that contains an upgrade arrow along with a destroy button as shown in the image above. Then click/tap the arrow to either upgrade or destroy the room from your vault in Fallout Shelter.
You cannot undo rooms after destroying them. Furthermore, destroying a room only refunds a few bottle caps. So, plan your vault’s layout from the start, or else
you will go bankrupt while rebuilding floors over and over again
.
Conditions to Destroy Rooms in Your Vault
There are two conditions that must be met before you can remove rooms in Fallout Shelter. Firstly, the room must be empty. If dwellers (including pets) are working inside, select and reassign them to another room before proceeding.
Secondly, the room must not be connected to another room on the same floor. You will have to destroy all the connecting rooms on both sides before being able to remove the room in the middle. That, however, does not include the elevator. Also, rooms on the upper or lower floor are safe, but as you can see, rebuilding a single room can be an expensive affair in Fallout Shelter.
