Fortnite‘s Chapter 5 brought major updates to the battle royale title, but some fans think the train landmark could use some more attention to reach its full potential. Through the years, Fortnite has introduced a variety of new maps with exciting features, but the current iteration of the train feels like a missed opportunity for some fans.

Fortnite has been in a constant state of evolution since its beginnings back in 2017. Whether it’s been through major in-game events or changes to the game’s map, Fortnite seems to always be in a state of transformation that has no signs of stopping. Although this formula has kept the game feeling fresh, this also means that sometimes certain features can be overlooked. There have been some great changes made to Fortnite during Chapter 5, but the train is one feature that many players believe is not being given the attention it deserves.

The discussion post has gained a lot of attention from many fans, with some great suggestions being offered. One of the biggest complaints mentioned in the comments on the Reddit post is in regard to the train’s track. The train only travels one route, which eventually leads it to just go off into the Storm, leaving it unable to be useful in any meaningful way. Occasionally, Epic Games will reach out to Fortnite players via survey to get their input, and it seems as though creating a survey based on how to improve some underutilized map features might be a great way to hear what’s working for players in the game and what isn’t.

With there already being plenty of speculation about Season 3 of Fortnite Chapter 5, there will hopefully be some useful changes made to the train. As of now, the train in Fortnite feels more like decoration instead of anything that adds true substance to many players. Hopefully, the train will eventually get to play a major role in Fortnite‘s gameplay sometime in the future.
