Clearance in Genshin Impact is a mechanic that prevents players from exploring the Desert area without following the Genshin Impact World Quest. This gadget performs similarly to the Aranyaka, where players can check it from time to time and follow its guidance to complete the tasks in the Desert. To get the Scarlet Stone Slate, people must do the missions of the Golden Slumber quest. Eventually, the researcher Tirzad will ask the protagonist to hold on to it.
At the end of the Golden Slumber, the researcher entrusts the main character to keep the Slate. Later on, another scholar of Sumeru will visit Aaru Village, inspired by the papers done by Tirzad. He asks for Travelers’ assistance in his research, but he’s soon halted by an old man called Soheil. Soheil accuses both Tirzad and the protagonist of fraud, an insult that Paimon can’t accept. To prove Soheil wrong, Paimon asks the main character to continue exploring the Desert Ruins in Genshin Impact. In the journey, people will come across many remains of the old days, and in the process, gain some Clearance. By the end of the quest, Travelers will reach a place called Aaru.
How To Increase Clearance In Genshin Impact
To increase Clearance in Genshin Impact, players must progress through the Golden Slumber and Dual Evidence quests. Here’s a full breakdown of each Clearance.
First Clearance
The first Clearance in Genshin Impact is granted after going to the highest floor of King Deshret’s Mausoleum (after opening the coffin) in a Golden Slumber subquest called The Secret of Al-Ahmar.
Second Clearance
For the second Clearance, finish the Golden Slumber quest and start the Dual Evidence the next day. Follow the stone slate’s guidance to obtain full clearance in Duat Hall.
Third Clearance
Still in the Dual Evidence Genshin Impact quest, finish the Place of Rebirth Trial to get the third Clearance.
Fourth Clearance
Finally, for the fourth and final Clearance, finish the Place of Breath Trial of the Dual Evidence quest.
Clearance of Khaj-Nisut
There are also some special Clearances players can get. The Clearance of Khaj-Nisut is granted when Travelers investigate the room located deep within (after proceeding deeper within the ruins) in The Secret of Al-Ahmar subquest.
Ferryman’s Clearance
Meanwhile, the Ferryman’s Clearance is automatically added after talking to Soheil when players start the Dual Evidence questline.
If listed step-by-step, here’s a sequence of how the Clearance can be obtained:
- First Clearance: Golden Slumber: The Secret of Al-Ahmar
- Clearance of Khaj-Nisut: Golden Slumber: The Secret of Al-Ahmar
- Ferryman’s Clearance: At the start of Dual Evidence
- Second Clearance: Dual Evidence: Duat Hall
- Third Clearance: Dual Evidence: Place of Rebirth Trial
- Fourth Clearance: Dual Evidence: Place of Breath Trial
