No Rest For The Wicked Dev Shares A Curved World City View Demo
Gennadiy Korol, Moon Studios’ Co-founder, has shared a gameplay demo of a rainy evening in Sacrament, the main hub of No Rest for the Wicked, the studio’s new game that launches into Steam Early Access on April 18.
In this game clip, you can see the dense and vertical level design of the city peeking through the beautiful humid rainy sunset, which is a part of the natural day and night cycles and dynamic weather system, all thanks to the Curved World perspective the studio takes pride in as one of the No Rest for the Wicked’s standing out features.
The idea of No Rest for the Wicked was to create a highly interactive world, where you can balance and climb on everything that looks that way. The Curved World rendering is, apparently, an Animal Crossing-inspired feature that was redesigned for this top-down world to give the player a unique perspective, where you can always see so much further into the distance and admire the breathtaking environments.
