Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: How to Get Dedenne

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet added lots of new Pokemon for fans to catch, but some fan favorites have also made a return and can be found in the Paldea region. The Pokedex will show players where they must go in order to find a specific Pokemon, but only after they’ve registered. So, it can be difficult to get to it for the first time, since it’s all up to exploring the map and getting lucky.

This article will show players they should go on the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet map to find Dedenne, an adorable Gen VI rodent-like Pokemon.

Dedenne Locations

Dedenne isn’t a difficult Pokemon to find in the Paldea region, but it only spawns in two specific areas. In order to find Dedenne, players can either head to West Province (Area Three) or North Province (Area Three.) Gamers that are still not done with the will most likely visit West Province before they reach the northern part of Paldea.

According to the Pokemon’s Pokedex entry, Dedenne is usually found near towns and cities. Therefore, players should walk close to the border of Medali in the West Province to increase their chances of spotting this critter. Alternatively, they can also search for it outside the Fairy Crew Base in the North Province area.

Dedenne is quite a small Pokemon, so players will have to keep an eye out for it as it can be easy to miss if it’s near a particularly grassy area.

How To Catch Dedenne

Dedenne is a dual-type Electric and Fairy Pokemon. It will often use Charm against its opponent to harshly lower its Attack stat (-2), so gamers should definitely take a Pokemon that doesn’t rely too much on physical Attack moves, but on Special Attack moves instead.

Poison and Ground-Type moves will be super effective against it, it’s immune to Dragon-Type moves, and it resists Electric-, Flying-, Fighting-, Bug-, and Dark-Type moves.

The player will have to analyze how effective they’d like their play to be. If an over-leveled Pokemon hits a weaker Pokemon with a super effective move, it might just faint. Then, the player will not be able to catch it and must find it in the wild again. Once Dedenne has been caught or defeated it will drop the Dedenne’s Fur item.
