PS5 Follow-Up Read Only Memories: Neurodiver Finally Out This May

Four years after its original announcement, developer MidBoss has revealed the sequel to 2064: Read Only Memories, titled Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER, will finally launch for PS5 on 16th May 2024. It will cost £12.79 / $14.99 and releases predominantly as a digital title on the PS Store, though a physical version is available for pre-order at Serenity Forge. While a PS4 version had been confirmed previously, it’s mentioned nowhere in today’s press assets, so it’s likely been cancelled.

“Join ES88, a young esper, as she works to uncover a dark secret lurking in Neo-San Francisco,” a new press release explains. “Employed by MINERVA, a powerful organization specializing in information science, neurotechnology, and extrasensory phenomena, ES88 has been tasked with tracking down the mysterious psychic entity known as Golden Butterfly, who has been hiding in and fragmenting the memories of Neo-San Francisco’s citizens.”

Featuring a new cast of characters and some returning faces, you’ll go on an adventure inspired by the 16-bit era, in both gameplay and its chiptune soundtrack.
