The Secret Wilds is the 11th Sea of Thieves time-limited Adventure wherein players follow in the footsteps of the renowned Captain Briggsy and her star-gazing quest in search of a cure for the skeleton curse. It continues the story from The Rogue’s Legacy Adventure, which saw Briggsy’s number one fan Tasha become afflicted with the curse. Although many players seek Season 8’s desirable skeleton curse for their pirate in PVP on-demand gameplay, it’s up to players to help save Tasha from her fate.

How Long Does The Secret Wilds Take?

The Secret Wilds Adventure takes around 2-3 hours to complete, depending on whether players want to obtain all possible rewards by collecting all of Briggsy’s memories by unraveling some tricky puzzle mechanisms. To complete the Adventure, players must discover all 9 dark constellation memories by sailing to Crooked Masts, Old Faithful Isle, and Marauder’s Arch. The goal is to find and open all 3 of Briggsy’s chests, each containing an amulet fragment, before returning to Madame Olivia with their discoveries.

Players can also optionally collect 5 additional Briggsy memories, but this is only necessary for players who want to obtain all rewards.

How To Begin The Secret Wilds Adventure

To begin The Secret Wilds Adventure, head to any outpost and speak with Larinna outside the tavern, selecting the ‘Begin Adventure’ option to start the Adventure. Larinna gives players a note instructing players to sail to Plunder Outpost, where they must speak with Madame Olivia by Tasha inside the Order of Souls tent.

Speak with Madame Olivia to receive Tasha’s journal, Briggsy’s mask, and Briggsy’s amulet fragment. Tasha’s journal contains clues about what to do next. However, players might find it helpful to discover all 9 dark constellations first and then replay the Adventure to view Briggsy’s optional 5 memories if they wish.

How To Use Briggsy’s Mask

Briggsy's mask in The Secret Wilds Adventure 11 Sea of Thieves

Captain Briggsy’s mask allows players to see 9 special constellations described in Tasha’s journal. Some may find the mask a little challenging to use, as players must ensure they are standing in the correct spot for it to work. The constellations are visible in the game’s day and night cycle.

On reaching an island, players must search for the right spot indicated by music, which intensifies when standing in the correct place. Equip Briggsy’s mask and look up to the sky. To activate the constellation and trigger Briggsy’s memory, players must line up the constellation dots by moving their pirate around until all dots accurately align to form the complete shape, like an insect. Once each memory has finished, dig in the same spot to find Briggsy’s chest keys required to open the chests and uncover 3 amulet pieces.

Crooked Masts Dark Constellations:

There are 3 dark constellations to find on Crooked Masts at point O11 in the Wilds map region as follows:

Owl Constellation

Head to the middle of the island under the bridge and stand on the northeast corner, close to the altar and look up towards the bridge. Use Briggsy’s mask to form the shape of a butterfly as per page 5 of Tasha’s journal, triggering the first Briggsy memory. Dig into the same spot to find the Crown Key, and place it in a safe location, such as on the altar.

Butterfly Constellation

Ascend the cliff to the south of the island and stand by the palm trees to the right of the rock with the Kraken painting. Use Briggsy’s mask and look west to reveal and line up the butterfly constellation, activating the next memory. Dig into the same spot to get the Chalice Key.

Mountain Constellation

Head to the highest point of the cliff on the north part of the island and stand by the group of barrels and palm trees until players hear Briggsy exclaim in awe. Use Briggsy’s mask to line up and reveal the mountain constellation. Dig the same spot to find Briggsy’s chest. Open the chest with the 2 keys to get the first fragment piece, returning everything to the ship before heading to the next island.

Near the upper-east side of the island, search for a tree next to the tall wooden construction. Look up with Briggsy’s mask to the northwest to reveal the black widow spider dark constellation and dig in the same place to retrieve the Crown Key.

Panther Constellation

Travel to the southwest part of the island and stand near the 2 barrels in a rocky corner. Directly opposite players should be able to see the broken bridge in the distance. Look up using Briggys’s mask and line up the panther constellation to trigger Briggsy’s memory and dig up the Chalice Key in the same spot.

Palm Tree Constellation

In the middle of the island, players can find and trigger the palm tree constellation using Briggsy’s mask. Dig on the same spot to get the 2nd Briggsy chest and open it using the Crown and Chalice Keys obtained earlier to get the next stone fragment, returning everything to the ship before sailing to the next island.

Marauders Arch Dark Constellations

There are 3 Dark Constellations to find at Marauder’s Arch (point Q3) as below:

Park to the north and head inside the cave to the southern island area. Stand inside the cave, looking outside and upwards with Briggsy’s mask to reveal the fox constellation and line it up to trigger the memory. When the memory has finished, dig in the same place to get the Crown Key.

Head east and instead the large fortress at ground level, and look up once inside using Briggsy’s mask to see and join the hourglass constellation. Once again, dig in the same spot to locate the Chalice Key.

Waterfall Constellation

Travel across the rocky bridge to the highest peak north of the island across the arch. Walk to the farthest point and look up using Briggsy’s mask to see the waterfall constellation, triggering the final Briggsy memory. Dig up Briggy’s chest and open it using the keys from earlier, then return to Briggsy with the fully assembled amulet for a final scene with Briggsy – the plot thickens!

Before leaving the island, don’t forget to collect the missing journal pages and Warsmith’s cannonball from the ground. Players can optionally seek the remaining Briggsy memories or complete the Adventure by returning to Plunder Outpost to speak with Madame Olivia.

Briggsy’s Memory Locations

To obtain the 5 remaining Briggsy memories, players must sail to the following islands and use Briggsy’s mask at each location:

  • Thieves Haven – on the northwest beach by the palm tree between the small and large arch.
  • Crooks Hollow – in the cave south of the island next to the scarab rock painting.
  • Ancient Spire Outpost – by the bar inside the Unicorn’s Tavern at top of the island.
  • North Star Seapost – by standing next to Sudds.
  • Lone Cove – near the west beach on a grassy embankment by a single palm tree with some rocks, close to the edge of the island.

The Secret Wilds Rewards

The Secret Wilds Adventure rewards Sea of Thieves

Players who complete the Adventure receive Briggsy’s Mask, a trinket placeable on a captained ship as a decoration. Players who complete all deeds in the Adventure also get The Dark Stargazer title. Players can also cash in all of Briggsy’s chests and treasure to one of the Trading Companies, such as the Order of Souls or Gold Hoarders.

The Secret Wilds is available to play until February 2nd. Sea of Thieves is available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
