Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Players Find Scout Trooper Who’s Contemplating Life

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players discover a Scout Trooper who is contemplating all of his life choices, leaving gamers feeling sorry for the Imperial.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players have discovered a secret Scout Trooper contemplating his entire life. Scout Troopers are usually faceless drones in the franchise, but Star Wars Jedi: Survivor‘s story has taken a humanizing approach in this instance.
The launch of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been rough, to say the least. Expectations were extremely high for the game, after 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order wowed fans. The content of the sequel isn’t the problem, however. The performance of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PC is disastrous, with unplayable frame rates at low settings, even on top-of-the-line PCs. Even on the console versions, the situation isn’t much better, with frame rates consistently dipping below the 60 FPS target while in certain areas of the game. EA and Respawn are aware of the issues plaguing the game at the moment, and hopefully, it isn’t long before the companies can get it fixed.
In the image posted by Redditor kamikaze, players can see Star Wars Jedi: Survivor protagonist Cal Kestis approaching the Scout Trooper, who sits and stares into the distance. He doesn’t even attack the player, abandoning his Imperial duties for a moment to himself. The player is then faced with multiple options. They’re able to kill the Scout Trooper, or let him live in an act of mercy.

The second post by Redditor Zeroraiser saw many in the community feel sorry for the Scout Trooper, with one player claiming “I wish I didn’t yeet him so quickly.” It’s great that such a small detail like this is included for players who are patient, rather than simply attacking the Scout Trooper on sight. According to Zeroraiser, any player that spends time near him will hear him debate how his life ended up here, which is surprisingly poignant for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Gamers will be hoping the title can put its launch troubles behind it fast. Over the past few years, the has been a severe lack of great Star Wars titles, and the Jedi series was a beacon of hope for players. With Star Wars Jedi: Survivor being review bombed on Steam, that tide has turned for the moment. However, if the game can reach its full potential in the near future, the community could be able to forgive the initial launch period.
Star Wars: Jedi Survivor is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
