Stellar Blade Goes Gold Ahead of Late April Release on PS5

Good news: Stellar Blade won’t suffer a delay at the final hour as the PS5 exclusive has now gone gold. This means that work on the base 1.0 version of the game is complete, so Shift Up can start printing the title onto PS5 discs. Between now and launch, the developer will likely work on a day one update to address any last-minute hitches or bugs.

According to the tweet published by the game’s Twitter account, it sounds like work was completed some time ago, so that initial patch may already be well in the works. If you want to try the game right now, a demo is still available from the PS Store. We came away impressed with what we played during that demo, praising Stellar Blade as the “type of game fans have been demanding from PlayStation for a while: original, single player-centric, and gameplay focused”.
