Tales Of Kenzera: Zau – All Reflection Points
The world of Tales of Kenzera: Zau may not be as expansive and in-depth as that of Hollow Knight or Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, but it still offers plenty of reasons for exploration. The game boasts numerous collectibles, many of which provide gameplay enhancements. One such collectible is known as Reflections — massive Baobab Trees that Zau uses to reflect on his life.
Interacting with these trees grants Zau a much-needed health boost while also revealing emotional tales of his father. Overall, the game presents ample motivation to seek out these trees. There are six of them in total, and acquiring all unlocks a coveted Trophy.
How Ori Inspired Tales of Kenzera: Zau
During a recent interview, Game Rant learns how the Ori video games inspired Surgent Studios’ Metroidvania game, Tales of Kenzera: Zau.
Great Cliff Region Reflection Tree
This Reflection spot should be the first one encountered in your game. Upon reaching the upper portion of The Great Cliff, instead of heading east to pursue the main quest, venture to the west instead.
Along the way, you’ll encounter a breakable surface blocking your path; destroy it and continue along the linear route, avoiding the spiky plants. Go up the two parallel walls, and to the left, you’ll find a towering Baobab Tree. Interact with it to boost your health.
Ikakaramba Region Reflection Tree
Similar to the previous region, Ikakaramba also features only one reflection spot. Upon reaching the elevated section of the area, you’ll come across a Workbench in your path. Head westward from there, and you’ll encounter two floating purple platforms. Climb them to reach the second Reflection tree. Interact with it to receive another health bonus.
Drowning Swamps Region Reflection Tree
You can only access the Reflection Tree in the Drowning Swamps region once you’ve obtained the Tawa’s Heart ability. If you haven’t acquired it yet, prioritize obtaining it first.
Once you have the ability, reach the spot indicated on the map above. Use the ability to demolish the red barrier, then proceed westward. Traverse the yellow swamp by using the wooden platform, and be careful to dodge incoming arrows. Continue along the path, and you’ll discover the third Reflection Tree. Acquire a health boost again by interacting with the tree.

Inspired by grief and imbued with Afrofuturistic and Bantu inspired visuals, a new game aims to showcase the emotional journey that comes with loss.
Wildwood Region Reflection Tree
Obtaining the Reflection Tree in the Wildwood Region is pretty straightforward. Upon reaching the camp, which also serves as a fast travel point, climb upward and head west. Go down the lift while avoiding arrows and proceed along the path. Navigate the rotating log cautiously, and you’ll come across the fourth Reflection Tree. As usual, interact with it to receive a vitality boost.
Searing Sands Region Reflection Tree
The second-to-last Reflection Tree is located in the Searing Sands Region and is situated close to the starting point of the Trinket challenge. Go upward, and you’ll spot a camp along your path, confirming you’re on the right track. Continue to the east, and you’ll discover your target. The tree is tucked away to the far right. Interact with it to receive the free health boost.
Mount Itshoka Region Reflection Tree
The final Reflection tree is also the first collectible you should encounter in the Mount Itshoka Region. Following your meeting with the aged warrior Bomani, you’ll come across a waypoint structure. Once you spot it, continue to the east, and the last Reflection Tree will come into view. After interacting with it, your health will receive its final boost.
Interacting with all six Reflection Trees will
unlock the Know Thyself
achievement/trophy.
