Twitch Has Banned BruceDropEmOff for 4th Time

The frequently suspended Twitch Streamer BruceDropEmOff received another ban today, making it his fourth Twitch ban overall and third in 2023.

Twitch streamer BruceDropEmOff is once again banned from streaming on the platform. While it’s unclear whether this is a permanent ban or merely a suspension, this marks the fourth time the controversial personality was banned from Twitch.

BruceDropEmOff’s become quite a popular streamer over the last several years, with about 1.3 million Twitch followers and around 1 million YouTube subscribers. The online personality is known for streaming games like Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout and Grand Theft Auto but also creates a variety of other content. He joined the One True King content creation organization in March 2022, only to suddenly leave last January. In March, BruceDropEmOff reported receiving racial abuse from OTK fans in retaliation for his abrupt departure.

BruceDropEmOff’s departure from OTK doesn’t seem to have hurt his popularity too much, but the streamer appears to have a recurring problem with Twitch’s TOS enforcement. His latest ban came down today, May 3, a little after noon Eastern, with the website StreamerBans reporting BruceDropEmOff’s suspension at 12:23 PM. Visiting his channel now results in a message saying it is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. The Twitch streamer’s yet to issue a statement on his ban, so it’s unclear why his channel’s been suspended or whether it’s permanent.

This is not only BruceDropEmOff’s fourth Twitch ban but his third since the start of 2023. His previous ban came on March 1, only a few days after Twitch reinstated his account. That Twitch ban came after BruceDropEmOff held up a sign saying “f*** dem…” and a box of saltine crackers, presumably trying to skate through the platform’s Community Guidelines on a technicality. It is worth noting that “cracker” is the same word that led to BruceDropEmOff’s original ban in 2021.

Prior to that incident, BruceDropEmOff received an indefinite Twitch ban in late January. The reason that time had to do with his second channel, which was suspended after he went on a tirade against OTK member Mizkif. BruceDropEmOff appeared on his main channel a few hours later, at which point he was banned indefinitely on the grounds that doing so amounted to ban evasion. Twitch eventually reinstated his account one month later.

Previously, a content creator’s fourth Twitch ban was always permanent. However, Twitch relaxed that rule somewhat, especially for channels with a large audience. So while the new policy may not sound particularly fair, it seems to be in BruceDropEmOff’s favor this time. Still, the streamer’s fans will have to wait and see if and when he returns to Twitch.
