Walking Simulator Game Prototype Powered by Unreal Engine
Senior Art Manager at NVIDIA Andrew Averkin, whose detailed digital environments were featured numerous times here on 80 Level, has once again blown our minds by unveiling a gorgeous new 3D scene that looks like a walking simulator game prototype.
Check out Someday, Andrew’s personal project inspired by such games as What Remains of Edith Finch, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, and Dear Esther. According to the author, the project allowed him to expeiment with AI-made textures, discover more efficient methods for auto-assembling, test out Path Traced Lighting and DLSS, and practice with story writing, sound design, making Blueprints, and more. As for the software, the author relied primarily on Substance 3D Sampler and Unreal Engine to set up the scene.
