What the Heck Is This New Neptunia Game for PS5, PS4?

Like the sun rising and taxes, new Neptunia games are inevitable. The long-running game industry parody RPG has spawned all kinds of spin-offs, but its latest appears to be the most out-there yet. Curiously titled Neptunia VS Titan Dogoo, this entry appears to peg protagonist Neptune as a motorcycle rider who must gather up the eponymous Dogoos in Katamari (?) fashion.

To be honest, we’re not entirely sure. This feels like a budget spin-off from series developer Compile Heart to keep the IP active, but we suppose there’s no real harm in experimenting with different gameplay concepts. You can check out the opening movie embedded above for a slightly better idea of what to expect, but we’ll need to wait for more gameplay footage before we can confidently describe what’s going on here.
