World of Warcraft is selling Dragonflight at a huge discount in celebration of Patch 10.1, Embers of Neltharion. With the huge update now live, players can jump into the new content without stressing their wallets, even if they haven’t purchased World of Warcraft: Dragonflight yet.
Embers of Neltharion is officially live on US servers and will be rolling out across the rest of the world shortly after press time. This update opens the way to the new Zaralek Cavern zone, introduces the Loamm Niffen Renown faction, expands the Dragonriding system, and adds the ability to form cross-faction guilds in World of Warcraft.
To celebrate the release of Dragonflight’s biggest content update yet, World of Warcraft is offering a significant discount on the expansion. From now through May 15, players can pick up the Base, Heroic, and Epic Editions for 40% off. Considering the Epic Edition comes with a free 30 days of game time–valued at $15–it is technically cheaper than the Heroic Edition, and less than $10 more than the Base Edition.

The Base Edition of Dragonflight comes with the expansion content, access to the Drachtyr Evoker race and class, and 500 Trader’s Tender to spend at the Trading Post. The Heroic Edition also comes with a level 60 character boost, the Tangled Dreamweaver mount, and the Murkastraza pet, while the Epic Edition includes the Timewalker’s Hearthstone effect and the Diadem of the Spell-Keeper and Wings of Awakening cosmetic items–plus the aforementioned month of game time.
Now is a great time for veteran players to check out World of Warcraft again. The Embers of Neltharion patch is full of new things for players to discover. A new leg of the Dragonflight campaign is available now, with other new chapters and stories being made available soon. Players can earn reputation with the Loamm Niffen to earn special rewards and participate in new activities in Dragonflight like snail racing and Sniffenseeking as they explore Zaralek Cavern.
Starting May 9, Dragonflight’s new Aberrus raid opens to the public. Players will challenge nine bosses, including a Djaradin elder, an echo of Neltharion, and the traitorous Dracthyr Scalecommander Sarkareth. Additionally, World of Warcraft players can battle Fyrakk and his Primalist minions as they attack zones of the Dragon Isles in the new Fyrakk Assaults world event. With this huge discount running through Embers of Neltharion’s launch, now is the perfect time to pick up Dragonflight and experience this new content for cheap.
