World of Warcraft just stealth revealed an exciting new Dragonriding drake customization coming in Embers of Neltharion. Though it is not available yet, World of Warcraft players can expect the ability to give their dragon mounts white scales in the near future.

Patch 10.1, titled Embers of Neltharion, went live recently, bringing with it tons of new content. World of Warcraft players can explore the expansive Zaralek Cavern zone, experience a continuation of the Dragonflight story campaign, and soon, challenge Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible–the new raid opening on May 9.

However, it seems players might be able to collect an extra special customization option for their Dragonriding drakes soon. A couple of images shared alongside the Embers of Neltharion release featured a World of Warcraft character astride a Dragonriding mount with white scales. This will be the sixth color made available as a customization option for these special mounts, and the first that doesn’t coincide with one of the five Dragonflights.

It remains to be seen how players will unlock this new World of Warcraft customization option, but it is definitely coming soon. Manuscript item entries for unlocking these options on every type of Dragonriding mount–including the new Winding Slitherdrake introduced in Embers of Neltharion–were added to the game in the new patch. Players can’t earn the white scale options yet, but they can see how it looks with it on Wowhead’s Dressing Room, which hosts a full Dragonriding customization simulator.

Hilariously, this is technically the second time white dragons have appeared in World of Warcraft. During the beta for Wrath of the Lich King, white drakes could be seen in early screenshots, footage, and even in-game for a short time. While they were originally teased as a potential new type of dragon, they were eventually replaced with the proto-dragons players know today. Though it does not appear elsewhere in the game, the Reins of the Albino Drake earned for collecting 50 different mounts in World of Warcraft shares this early model.

Fans of Dragonriding in Dragonflight will be pleased to know there is a lot of new content for the feature in Embers of Neltharion. In addition to new glyphs, abilities, and races, World of Warcraft added a fifth type of Dragonriding mount with the Winding Slitherdrake. The mount can’t be unlocked at press time due to a glitch, but Blizzard is working on making the chapter available, so World of Warcraft players will soon be able to soar the skies in style.
