Xsolla to Open a Video Game Academy in Malaysia
Xsolla, in collaboration with Curine Ventures, has officially announced the launch of Xsolla Curine Academy (XCA), a new endeavor that aims to foster and empower local talent within the video game industry in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Supported by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, XCA seeks to equip Game Developers with essential skills for a prosperous career through its extensive program, lasting from 1 to 12 months. The Academy offers diverse courses covering key areas, including communication practices within the gaming industry, indie game design and development, computer graphic art, game strategy, and IP incubation.
Adhering to the student-centric approach, XCA provides three distinct learning tracks, crafted to meet the needs of a diverse range of students, to accommodate applicants with varying levels of experience and preparation. By integrating industry-relevant program design, access to XCA’s proprietary engine Megamod, and global expertise, the Academy ensures that learners have the resources and guidance necessary to thrive in the industry.
Additionally, the programs are tailored for individuals interested in pursuing game development as a business opportunity, providing the essential knowledge and skills to navigate a game from the early concept to post-launch success through a practical, hands-on learning approach. This includes mastering storytelling, CG art, character creation, analytics, project management techniques, modern-tool tools such as AI, marketing strategies unique to gaming audiences, monetization strategies, and effective pitching tactics.
