You Can Order Robot Dog With Flamethrower

Following Boston Dynamics’ creepy robot, the world has seen Thermonator, a robotic dog wielding a flamethrower. Developed by Throwflame, a company producing said flamethrowers, the dog will help you melt snow, deal with weeds and insects, and whatever else you might need controlled fire for.

Interestingly, the product’s page says the robot is “ready” for wildfire control and prevention. As I understand it, you could burn an area ahead of a forest fire to make sure it doesn’t destroy anything over the resulting line. But I admit my first thought was the dog would fight the services that arrive when it starts those fires.

It can also be used for agricultural management, ecological conservation, entertainment, and SFX.
