Hunter x Hunter Game Confirmed as a 2D Fighter Punching to PS5

The Hunter x Hunter video game project that was announced earlier in the year is now officially coming to PS5 — and we’ve also got confirmation that it’s a 2D fighting game, and not some kind of arena brawler, as was speculated by some fans.

To give its full title, Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact is being developed by Eighting — a Japanese studio that specialises in 2D fighters. Most recently, it released DNF Duel, which is a rock solid brawler that also adapts an existing property in Dungeon Fighter Online.

What’s more, Nen x Impact will actually be playable at Evo Japan, which takes place in late April. As such, it shouldn’t be long until we learn much more about this promising project. Right now, we don’t really know how far along its development is, but the fact it’s in a publicly playable state is obviously a positive sign.
