Chapter 458 Waterfall Within Deep In The Woods
?"Wow! The view from here is so…beautiful! I can see the entire forest and the miasma wall from here," Mireya muttered with a dazed smile on her face, mesmerized by the stunning view from the cliff.
The Core Area of the forest was so massive that she couldn't see its end; there was only a sea of trees stretching far and wide, filled with mystery as they couldn't see anything beyond the vast expanse of greenery.
"This Core Area of the forest is much bigger than we thought. We can't even see the other end of it," Sylvia spoke in a calm yet surprised tone, astonished by the endless sea of green that stretched as far as the eye could see.
"I wonder how we're going to find the location where the Corrupted Monsters are appearing or perhaps being created by someone or something," General Valeria muttered, looking at the horizon with a dazed look on her face, as though things were starting to get really tough.
Yuan walked beside her, hugged her gently from behind, kissed her on the neck as she wasn't wearing her heavy armor, and whispered, "Don't worry, we will definitely locate it and eliminate everything there, including every single corrupted monster and whatever is creating them."
"Since you're the one saying it, I feel reassured." Valeria leaned against Yuan with a gentle, calm smile on her face, looking at the dark sky.
Even though it was daytime, there was barely any sunlight reaching the forest, as if an invisible force was blocking it. The sky was a dark void, devoid of any light.
Yuan then shifted his gaze to Rose, who was staring in a particular direction with a small smile on her face, as if she had discovered something.
"Well, Rose, did you find something amusing in that direction? You've been staring that way for quite a while now," Yuan asked with a smile as he released Valeria from his embrace and approached her.
"I wasn't sure at first, but now I'm certain that I've discovered a small waterfall in that direction. It's just a few hundred meters from here," Rose replied with a big smile.
"What?" Yuan's other wives immediately turned their heads toward Rose, as if they had heard something very exciting.
"What did you just say, Rose?" Anna quickly held Rose's hands, her eyes sparkling with excitement. The others had the same reaction as Anna, their eyes sparkling as they looked at Rose for her answer.
"Mom, I said I've discovered a small waterfall in the distance," she smiled and then pointed in a particular direction. "It's in that direction; I can still hear the sound of water."
Anna and the others who could use their divine sense immediately closed their eyes and extended their senses to verify Rose's claim. They wanted to ensure she wasn't just hearing the sound of the river, which was very muddy and unsuitable for bathing or drinking.
As soon as they expanded their divine sense, smiles appeared on their faces as they truly saw the waterfall in the distance. They quickly closed their divine sense and opened their eyes excitedly.
Lily then quickly moved closer to Rose and hugged her tightly, exclaiming, "You're right, Sister Rose, there is indeed a waterfall ahead!"
"Lily, don't shout like that! Your voice will attract a lot of monsters toward us!" Grace quickly approached Lily and grabbed her ears.
"Ouch! Mom, let go, let go! It's hurting a lot…!" Lily pretended to be in great pain so Grace would release her ears.
Seeing her daughter's pained expression, a wide grin appeared on Grace's face. "You think you can fool me with your acting? Stop pretending, or I'll twist your ears harder."
Lily's face turned pale upon hearing this, and she looked toward Anna for help, seeing that her mother had no intention of letting go.
'You brought it upon yourself, so you have to deal with it yourself. I can do nothing about it,' Anna thought, smiling awkwardly and chuckling at her daughter.
The others also giggled, seeing Lily getting punished by Grace. She had become quite naughty recently, and a little punishment from Grace was just right for her.
After enjoying the view of the forest and chatting for a few minutes, Yuan stood up from the small rock he was sitting on and looked at his wives with a smile on his face.
"Let's go and look for the waterfall. I know you all are itching to take a nice bath after such a long time. Even I can feel my clothes starting to get smelly after wearing them for so long without washing," Yuan said, making them immediately stand up with excited looks on their faces.
"Let's go, let's go! We shouldn't waste our time here!" Anna quickly grabbed Yuan's hand and pulled him along with her down the cliff.
"Mom Anna, slow down! It's dangerous!" Yuan complained as he was being pulled by Anna like a child, afraid they'd fall from the cliff.
However, Anna didn't listen to any of his complaints and pulled him along with a wide, excited smile on her face. The others followed them closely from behind.
Meanwhile, Valeria, Mireya, and Sylvia couldn't hold back their giggles, seeing Yuan being pulled by Anna like a child.
After an hour of walking, the sound of the waterfall became much clearer, meaning they were getting closer.
Since the waterfall is a great freshwater source for the monsters and other creatures, Yuan decided to become cautious. He quickly opened his divine sense to examine the nearby area for any monsters' presence.
Then he noticed a few small fry monsters roaming around the waterfall. They weren't a threat at all, so there was no need to be on guard against them. Besides those monsters, Yuan noticed a few other creatures as well—spiritual beasts. These spiritual beasts were considerably stronger than the regular monsters Yuan had spotted with his divine sense, but if he released a bit of his spirit grandmaster-level aura, those beasts wouldn't come closer.
Moreover, with Xi Meili's presence, it was highly unlikely that the beasts would approach them. By now, they had already sensed Xi Meili and become aware of her presence in the forest, causing them to become suddenly alert.

A few moments later, the surrounding area became a little cooler, the air fresher, and they could hear the sound of the waterfall very clearly. Without wasting a single moment, they moved forward.
The next moment, they stood before a small but very beautiful waterfall. The water was clear and refreshing, and the area was rocky, covered in large and small rocks. The atmosphere was very enjoyable and relaxing, with the sound of the water falling from a height making it even more serene.
"This is… very beautiful…!" Mireya muttered in a dazed voice, seemingly surprised by the beauty of the waterfall.
The other girls nodded in agreement with Mireya's words; indeed, the waterfall looked very beautiful and peaceful.
Lily quickly approached the waterfall and put her feet in the water before turning around. "The water is perfect for a refreshing bath. Let's remove our clothes and take a nice, relaxing bath."
Without waiting for anyone, she began to undress, placing her dirty clothes on a rock before entering the refreshing water of the waterfall.
"Mmm…the water feels so nice and relaxing, totally worth coming here…" Lily moaned as she leaned back against a rock and closed her eyes, feeling the cold water against her skin.
Seeing the relaxing smile on Lily's face, the others also began to remove their clothes and slowly joined Lily in the water.
As soon as their bodies touched the cold, refreshing water of the waterfall, they let out small, relaxing moans. It felt as if they had been working for years and had just sat down.
