PUBG Esports 2023 Global Partners Teams revealed

PUBG Esports will have a total of eight partner teams

This is the first year that PUBG Esports will feature its own partner team programme. Similar to other major esports titles like the VALORANT Challengers Tour (VCT), teams will receive financial benefits as well as a guaranteed slot in the PUBG Global Series. The tournament is set to take place this year in April and September.

After the partner program selection started back in December, a committee created by the developers evaluated all teams that applied. The main criteria was the “the organisation’s ability and will to participate in the PUBG Esports journey and help develop a stronger ecosystem.” Not only that, but KRAFTON also considered three other factors: Governance, fandom and history. Each had a weight in the application and each factor was broken down into more subsections, which you can find below:

• Governance: Stability – Future commitment – Legal structure;
• Fandom: Value contribution – Presence;
• History: Esports history – team structure.

The criterias are vital in the selection process to know which teams have the highest chances of elevating the PUBG competitive scene. Non-partner teams will get a second chance to participate in PUBG Esports events in 2023 through the qualifiers, with regional events held across Asia, Americas, APAC and EMEA. More details will be revealed in the near future.

The first eight teams that will be part of the partner team programme are:

• 17Gaming,
• FaZe Clan,
• Gen.G,
• NAVI,
• Patrichor Road,
• Soniqs,
• Twisted Minds.
